Mana Ramp This deck is mana-hungry, so mana ramp is incredibly important
This one hits on a different angle to most MTG Equipment, so I expect it to see play far beyond decks like this one
What it does do is flip easily to the back, which is what helped the card make the list
Its status as one of the lowest mana value cards on the list also means you can get it out early, putting up the barricade and setting up your engine before many players will be able to rival it
I also like this as a free sacrifice outlet in Commander decks that need one, since you can equip the Bloodghast and then unequip it to kill it, but a simpler way to do that is with the Hauberk which can sacrifice anything to give +4/+2 to a dork you control, like your Commander
