Those two cards are not only great getting your creatures tapped, they also give you something powerful to do with all those extra creature tokens, as you can use those Enchantments to start tapping down your opponents stuff, and things can snowball from there

There's also the argument of whether it would be right for Wizards of the Coast to go back on a 'promise' it made in the past
As I mentioned above, I don't even really think you need food to leverage this well: you'll likely be self milling in the types of decks that want this, and you'll surely have some junk you don't mind throwing away to get a creature back
